Gross or not?

Today I am choosing to blog about something that is very close to my heart. Community Bathrooms. How do I feel about them? Why do I feel that way?

Well, here are the good things about community bathrooms: You don't have to clean them, you don't have to buy toilet paper, and you get to laugh at your friends' hair at 8 a.m.

But the problem, is they smell. They smell so bad. Late in the day, when the trash hasn't been taken out of the stalls in a while, the smell is overpowering. I gag when I go in the bathroom.

And the hair! There is hair everywhere, of all different colors. It's in the sinks, in the showers, on the floors! And sometimes, you crawl out of bed at 7, simply to have to wait in line to take a shower! It's outrageous.

But honestly, I've had some good times in that bathroom. During finals, we had dance parties in there. I am currently planning a giant game of telephone for the bathroom. We wouldn't be able to do things like that unless we had a community bathroom.

So is it worth it? I haven't quite decided yet.

  1. Well, I've had my own bathroom again for several years now, but I remember quite well the community bathroom. I was not a fan at the time however when I first transitioned back to the private bath, I realized I had really embraced the "community" part - private bathrooms can be LONELY when you're used to always having someone to chat with! Now, I figure I have the worst of both worlds - with 4 kids the bathrooms are always messy and smelly and I get to clean them AND I hardly ever get any privacy myself in there anymore...
